about me and my work

My name is Anne Michaux.

I accompany people on their journey towards greater vitality, clarity, and self-connection, with a Gestalt-oriented approach that may include bodywork, movement, and creative impulses. I am currently in my third year of training as a Gestalt therapist and have completed training in body-oriented process facilitation. My way of working is individual and dialogical, with an eye for subtle nuances and a deep trust in processes.

My path began in movement theater, where I discovered an early language beyond words. Later I encountered martial arts, which not only challenged me physically, but also touched me emotionally and stretched me mentally. The training mat became a place where I had to face myself: my inhibitions, my withdrawal, my strictness, and my tendency toward self-criticism. There, I cannot hide behind irony or harsh self-judgment.

After my father’s death in 2019, my life was shaken. I realized: I was functioning, but I wasn’t truly living. In Gestalt therapy, for the first time, I found a space where I was really seen – with all that I had no words for myself. That was the beginning of a deep inner journey, which in ever-changing forms is, for me, what life itself is.

Alongside my therapeutic training, I have been teaching martial arts for over ten years, focusing on women and girls. There I witness every day how deeply movement can spark inner processes: strength, fear, anger, voice, boundaries, self-assertion. All of this can return to the body, be experienced, explored, and transformed.

My artistic work is also part of this. It allows me to express in images and forms what cannot always be captured in words. I bring this perspective into my sessions as well – often it is small, unexpected impulses that open new doors.

I move within queer-feminist contexts and work with an awareness of discrimination and diversity. My perspective is shaped by my own neurodivergence, by lived experiences of being different, and by a longing for a genuine sense of belonging beyond adaptation.

In my practice, you are welcome – with everything you are.
